Dear All,
Happy New Year!!!
Question?
Mr. X age is 30, his monthly running expense is 10000/- Inflation 8%. He is planning to retire at the age of 60. After retirement he assuming he live 25 years(Age 85).

Post retirement assumed inflation is 6% & Post retirement return from retirement corpus is 9%.

How can calculate required retirement corpus?

> He will want inflation adjusted monthly income @ 60.
> After that his monthly income will grow 6%/year.
> His retirement corpus will last 25 years.

Please give calculation method...

Hi Diaz Invest,

Happy New Year to you too!

I suggest you have a look at the template "retirement calculator" provided with excel since excel 2007. It could be a good starting point, and if you are not 100% satisfied, you can still tailor it to your own needs.

Hope it helps,
BR

Hi Diaz,

Here is a calculator that I developed many years ago, you can play around with the parameters and get a list of the different results.

Try it and let me know if it helps.

where i will get this...

@Diaz Invest

I personnally found it in the templates provided with Excel 2013, but as GFC showed in his post it is apparently as well possible to download them from the website of Microsoft.

Let me know if you found it useful. I personnally used another template recently and for me it is really a great tool!
