Request to Chandoo (Key Master)

Hi all,

To enhance our blog further, we can also have a status in front of every thread.

If the thread is solved, then the status can be 'Solved', and so on.

Good day Dhamo

How do we know the thread has been solved? if the Op does not reply to the answer then who knows if it is a answer that has solved the OPs question?, also some posts in the thread may promt futher questions and futher answers.

Some threads have recived answers some years after they where started

@Bobhc

Hi

when a member post a question and he will get the answer as per his required and he think his post is solved then he will change the thread as solved if we give the permission for that

but in this forum only Ninja's and the Key Master can do that

Thanks

SP

Good day sgmpatnaik

I understand what you say but the problem is many posters do not reply when they recive an answer, one or two many take the time to thank the person who has answered their question but not many so I do not see posters returning to their post to mark it as closed and no one else can assume it is closed, as I said many post recive answers months or years after the question was posted.

Thanks sgmpatnaik & EN. Bobhc,

We can have 3 or 4 starts (Platinum/Gold/Silver/bronze, or 1*, 2*, 3*) like http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=feedback+stars+5+stars&view=detail&id=1B40ED816D334DB81550877C8B4AD1F711C5E351

When a new post is posted, the status should be ‘bronze’ and when the question is answered, the questioner or anyone (everyone) of us can change the status to silver/gold/platinum based on the answer. Every exact answer will deserve p/gold. Partial answer will deserve silver. And when everyone is doing the rating system, then the average rating should be the status of the question.

as bob mentioned, when many posters do not reply when they receive an answer, we can change the status. Also the one who answers the question can change the rating. If he thinks, the answer is correct then he can change.

Thanks a lot! - Dham

Hi, myself!

So long...

Do I still have dust, rocks or snow in my eyes? I know I've been in the mountains but I swear I didn't bury my head into them... or maybe I still have sand in them? I recognize I've been in the beach to compensate a little but just got laid and swam a little...

... so, I wonder... this post wasn't about MS Access?

If I'm right, everybody would appreciate if different subjects wee started at different topics, so as to:

1) follow and obey the rules stated at the green sticky posts at this forums main page

2) don't make people interested in the original topic lose their time reading about other stuff.

Regards!
