Hi,

I have a report in which there is percent column. The numbers provided in the column are with '%'symbol. I am unable to understand as how to remove this symbol. Because if I try to remove symbol numbers change when symbol is removed..I want the number remain as it is and only symbol should be removed..How can it be done?

Hi, ashish navale!

First of all, you need to check what type of data is stored in that cells.

If it's text, you should be able to remove the % char without any other cell change.

But if it's number and with percentage format, when you remove the % the number will be multiplied by 100 and the % added automatically again. Is this what is happening to you?

To check what format a cell has, select that cell and press Ctrl-1.

Regards!
