1) If cannot open file which You have named,
2) from Your named folder
3) read it's value
4) if not file found or not correct value then make ('need to modify') end
If all those missing from my code
then what are Your needs?

vletm provided you code which works fine...Just put it in any module and assign to button.

How can I copy any file to Your computer? How?
1) You have to have that 'key.txt' file as You have written in You computer.
2) You have to do any Excel-file which can use Macros.
3) You have written needed Sheet there.
4) You have to copy that my made macro to that file.
5) You have to run that my made macro.
6) If all don't match then it will show 'Bye Bye'
else nothing (but this case is almost impossible just now!)
... if You really cannot know where ... ooops!
then I'll understand Your texts
... then there would be much much more things to do!

anyway, that 'registering to VBA Project' do not work.
Anyone who can copy both files and
after that can use that file ...
