I am new to this forum and this is posted with humble and polite tone. I am new to Excel and the functionality.

I am modifying the example Mr Chandoo posted at:

https://chandoo.org/wp/2015/01/28/cost-benefit-analysis-in-excel/

What I would like to do is to have a what-if functionality where I find out what the initial cost is for a LED bulb. The costs for the regular bulb is known and operating costs for the LED bulb. Is this a two variable or one variable equation?

I am also enclosing a screen shot of the lay out.

Kind regards,

There is one clarification. When it comes to the fixed part for the regular bulb I have added "cost per unit" to month 1 and 9. That is when the bulbs needs to be exchanged. Since I am finishing up with the project I want to sell or discard the bulbs a the end of the year and at the end of month 12 I have a rest value of 0,44*USD 15 which I bok as -(0,44*USD 15). I have combined the variable and fixed cost in one table. Since I do not know the fixed rest value for the LED bulb I can not calculate that and my question is if and how I do that in excel, if it is possible to do it do it automatically as first step and/or I can combine it some how with the other steps I mention above. Enclosing the updated table (scree shot).

Sorry, I posted both a screen shot and a sample file. Just in case. Let me know if you want me to remove the screen shot. This is my first time here.

If it is too complex then please recommend any good what-if sources for one alternatively two variable solutions and I will look at it myself.
