Hi all
We are trying to revise the online timesheet at my workplace. A problem has arisen using the excel time number format. The time format seems to rely upon using a colon, so that although time format is pre-selected for the cell it will not recognise or convert accurately normal digits. For example, it would be convenient to be able to enter a four digit 24-hr time and have it automatically formatted, but unless you do shift/colon on every entry it seems to default to 12:00AM, especially where non-round numbers eg 0810 are required. Considering the number of entries required across the office each week, being able to avoid the cumbersome shift/colon requirement would be a worthwhile efficiency.
Is there a solution or workaround?
