Problem facing while copying

Hello all,


I am facing problem while copying a cell or cell range.. it is not copying... even though it is not showing that highlighting (blinking) box around cell.


Please guide me..

Hi bhasoriya,


I think your sheet is password protected. Try following to confirm it:


1. Paste the data on the same sheet from where you are copying, in case its password protected it will give you a message for that.


2. Go to Tab, Review > Unprotected sheet, it will ask you for a password.

1. Can you post a file here which is misbehaving on your system

2. Can you try one of your files on another PC


If either of the above can't replicate your problem it sounds like either the Excel install is corrupt or more likely that some other application has damaged the Windows Copy/Paste functionality


Have you installed any new software recently?

Do you regularly check for virsuses ?
