PQ performance Pro Plus 2016 v O365

Hi,

I have developed a workbook with several queries that import and transform csvs and other excel workbooks. Refresh all in office 365 (Version 2211 Build 15831.20208) takes a few minutes, whereas refresh all on a device running office Professional Plus 2016 takes hours.

Is there some fundamental difference in the power query engines that would be causing this disparity in performance?

How different are the devices? Is the MSO 64 or 32 bit installation? How many RAM is onboard?

How different are the devices? Is the MSO 64 or 32 bit installation? How many RAM is onboard?

Both are 64 bit and both have plenty of hard drive space available. the O365 setup has 16gb of ram compared to 8gb for the Pro Plus setup.
