PowerPivot - Contradictory Duplicate Values Error

When I try to link my linked tables together in PowerPivot, I get the following message:

"The relationship cannot be created because each column contains duplicate values. Select at least one column that contains only unique values."


This is frustrating because it seems to directly contradict what is shown at the 10min,40sec mark in this instructional video: http://chandoo.org/wp/2013/01/21/introduction-to-power-pivot/


Does anybody know why my PowerPivot error message contradicts these instructions?

PowerPivot supports only one-to-many or one-to-one relationships. So one of the tables should have a unique values.
