I have a series of time related data which i want to plot on my x axis.

I want to show the time say from 1:15 pm right upto midnight 12:00 pm with a differnce of 5 seconds between each scale. how can i do it. any inputs. where can i define the starting and ending of data max and minimum.

Times are stored internally as numbers ranging from 0 midnight until 1 midnight with 0.5 being Noon

So you can setup a X-Y or Scatter chart which will handle this.

To set the X Axis Range from 1pm (0.022569444) to Midnight (1) and maybe set the X-Axis Major Grid as 0.0416667 (1 Hr)

Hope that helps

Value y axis crosses at category number - 1

number of categories between tick-mark labels - 1010

number of categories between tick marks - 1010

value (Y) axis crosses between categories.

Is this were i key in the values. It does not take in decimal values i think. It days integer is invalid.can you explain this a bit more.

thanks for your time.

I assume you have used a (X Y) Scatter Chart

Select the X Axis

Right Click Format Axis

Set Minimum to 1pm (0.541667)

Set Maximum to Midnight (1.0)

Set Major Unit to 1 Hr (0.041667)

Vertical axis Crosses 1pm (0.54167)

Select the Number Tab

Change the X-Axis Number format to h:mm:ss AM/PM or h:00 AM/PM
