Plotting points on a chart with a pre existing parabola line

Hi there everyone!

My boss has given me a task in regards to tracking the teams' "feeling" on a monthly basis using the tuckman model. There are 10 people on the team and each person plots a dot (currently just using the circle shape to add the point)on the tuckman parabola (see picture) every month, which represents where they think the team is at the moment.

Is there a way to plot points for each person on a pre existing parabola? Or does anyone have a suggestion of how I can do this other than placing a dot on the line using the circle shape. I think the goal at the end of the year is to track the progress. It would be easier to summarize if the graph was based on data points rather than just circle shapes.
I haven't worked much with graphs in excel..so maybe I'm in way over my head...or it's a simple solution I'm just not seeing.
THANK YOU in advance. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Doris ,

How would this parabola appear on the chart ? Drawing a parabola in Excel is a matter of having the data ; if you can give the data , then the parabola can be plotted.

Now to plot the points relevant to each of the 10 persons ; all it requires is a data value for each person corresponding to the position where the dot is to be plotted.

Any Excel chart is a matter of plotting data ; if you can specify what kind of data is available , then we can see how this data is to be manipulated to get the chart that you want.

Hi, Lindsay Doris!

As a new user you might want to (I'd say should and must) read this:

And regarding your issue, consider uploading a sample file (including manual examples of desired output if applicable), it'd be very useful for those who read this and might be able to help you, relieving the contributor of having to build a test file, if necessary. Thank you.

Regards!
