Pivot Table Sorting

Serene

Hi guys,

I am creating a pivot table to tabulate the results of a company wide appraisal.

On the rows I have the Job Grades: General Manager, Manager, Supervisor, Staff.

On the columns, I have- Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Fair Poor.

I am applying count to the values.

However, it appears that the rows and columns are arranged in alphabetical order.

I want them to be sorted by (1) Rank for the Job Grades (2) Score Grade

Does anyone have a suggestion how I can work around this without making huge changes to my table.

Thank you all in advance

Serene

Serene,

I think if you could re-arrange them manually once they will retain their place in future.

Hi Faseeh,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I was not able to move but I found I could re-type.

(Am using Excel for Mac 2011)

Appreciate the great help.

Hi Serene,

I neither use MAC nor Excel 2011, but if you point your cursor to the left most column in pivot and point it to the lower border of the cell you can see the pointer that shows the cell can be replaced to a new position.

..and you are welcome...
