pivot table - label filter in a date format

Hi!

I have a problem with label filter in Pivot table. I want to create such a filter for date formatted cells and it's not working fine. I want to filter all dates that are between two dates and it does not work.

Please find the link to file attached.

Thanks for help!

Good day akuku

How do you filter on a date that does not exist.?? If you use dates in your data then the filter works.

I changed the dates and apply date format. Pivot table reads the data as a text string obviously. Why? And I found that there is such an option as 'date filter' instead of 'label filter' in pivot tables options (as in this video in 1:40 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQMA9lw4EyU ) Do I need to set any format to get such an option?

Hi, akuku!

The issue isn't in the pivot table but in your data. Column B of worksheet Sheet1 contains text strings and not dates. Try changing any date in column B and you'll get a long formatted date (when you widen the column), so change column B data contents and not just formatting only.

Regards!
