Pivot table - how do I Sum the number of unique sales orders, inside the pivot table?

My company's Quotes can have multiple line items. When extracted, each item has a Quote number. In my pivot table report, the number of Quotes per salesperson actually sums the number of line items per salesperson, rather than the number of unique Quotes for that salesperson.
Can I embed a formula in the pivot table to sum only the number of Quotes?
Many people will use this report and will update it daily. I do not want to place a column outside the pivot table.

Right click on the data field where is says "Sum of Quotes" and change this option to 'count'.


Or, you might be able to use this trick, doing a Pivot of a Pivot.
