Hi
Need the custom format for a pivot field that changes from previous in a plus manner should be red
Same as the I have now with the minus situation, see custom field format that I got from a somebody
#,##0_);[Red](#,##0)

I need the field “SPEND DIFF” should be formatted in red , if the difference from previous is higher
See sample file
Thanks
David

Simply use [Red]0.00;-0.00

Or are you saying that Jun value is < Jul value, format Jul?
If that is the case, you need conditional format. However, it isn't clear to me exactly what you need.

Thanks a Million

This worked for me perfect

simply wanted the the number should be in color "red" if the difference (in the spend field) form previous month is positive , (more spend)
same as i have in some fields, when the difference is a minus
So its great

I do have another question Which is very important for me

I want to keep all my formatting for the pivot even if the data source changes and i click refresh all

Even if i add rows, more data

(yes the preserve formatting is checked)
any suggestions
Thanks

David
