Percentage formula

how can i calculate percentage. Suppose I hv to increase target of sale person,20% or maybe X% above previous target. Want ti know the formula. Thanks Gargi

If the present target of your salesperson is in A1 , and you wish to increase this by 20 % , then in another cell , say B1 , put in the formula =A1+20%*A1
