Sirs
(Following is just a specimen only)

I have an article worth 10,000 Rs.
i want to give 20% on it but want to add 5% sales tax on it
then i want to add 2% excise duty on it
How is it possible in excel throu one formula
plz give solution

in only one formula

Say your value 10000 is in cell F5 then put this formula in g5 ---->

((F5-(F5*20%))*5%)+(F5-(F5*20%))+2%*(((F5-(F5*20%))*5%)+(F5-(F5*20%)))

Hi Arif ,

If you are going to be changing any one or more of the 3 variables ( Discount , Sales Tax , Excise Duty ) often , then it is better to go with Khurrum's formula , which makes it easy to change any one of these.

If not , then the same can be further reduced to :

=0.8568 * Original Selling Price

where the factor 0.8568 is the result of offering a 20 % Discount , then adding 5 % Sales Tax , and then adding 2 % Excise Duty.
