need help with reset of a countif function

I have a countif function to see the number of batches that goes through an oven 1 or 2,. after 10 loads we need to clean that oven, I would like to have a 'reset oven 1 counter' button and a 'reset oven 2 counter' button

I have attached a sample file, oven 1 has reached its limit of 10 batches, we would shut it down and clean it, after the clean up i would like to have button for the oven operator to click and move the range 'Oven_1_count' to start in the next blank row (row 24)

Im not sure how to write that in or if there is a better way

Thanks!

How about

for Oven 1:
=IF(MOD(COUNTIF(Oven_1_count,1),10)=0,10,MOD(COUNTIF(Oven_1_count,1),10))

for Oven 2:
=IF(MOD(COUNTIF(Oven_1_count,2),10)=0,10,MOD(COUNTIF(Oven_1_count,2),10))

Note I used the same Named Range: Oven_1_count in both

Hi,

Why not have two ranges one for oven 1 and one for oven 2 and when ever any thing goes inside 1 put 1 there and when any thing goes inside 2 put 1. With two buttons to clear these ranges when the count reaches 10?

Regards,

Thanks for the fast reply!

I may have been unclear, in first post.

I am having operators type in (with data validation of course!) batch by batch information with each batch in a new row. so they will already be typing in what oven was used. we target the clean oven at 10 batches but because of timing we may not get to it until 12 or even 15 batches, so i was hoping that the counter can continue to count until operator clears the count acknowledging that we did clean the oven.

i have included the actual file I'm trying to do this on.

Thanks again, the help is much appreciated!

I found a work around for this, I will have users type in '1' or '2' the count if will be looking those values, when the oven 1 is cleaned the operator will hit macro button that will use find and replace to change '1' to 'Oven 1" therefore resetting the counter.

This will work in my situation because in my analysis because oven is not continuous.

Thanks!
