Need help to create curves showing plan and progress

I have a spreadsheet with documents showing dates for planed issue, actually issued, rejected or approved.
I want to create a chart showing the exact number of documents in each status on a timeline.

I have attached an example file with a picture of a chart looking like the one I'm trying to create.

It would need more data to get 'curves' which would look curves.

I suspect that for each event you need to accumulate the number of like events occurring at or before that date.
