Moving /copying check boxes

Is is possible to copy, insert, or cut & paste a check box and have the reference cell in the "Cell link" change to the new location where you moved the check box too. Thanks

Hi, Rick!

Yes, it's possible, at least in 2010 version. While in design mode, you copy and paste the checkbox control an you maintain the referenced cell. But all two or three or any number of checkboxes will react all together.

What you are describing is what I’m looking to avoid. I would like to copy a check box and have it act just like a copy and paste of a regular cell so all the references change to account for the move horizontally and vertically: For example the check box location is C7 and reference cell is D7, and I copy and paste to C10 I would like reference cell to be D10. But now when I do it the reference would still be D7 even if I move the check box to C10. Thanks

Hi, Rick!

Sorry for having misunderstood what you explained clearly.

I couldn't find a way to copy a checkbox control without keeping linked to the original cell reference: neither copying the control itself nor the container cell.

I tried with both the form control checkbox and with the active X control checkbox, with the same result.

Regards!
