Generally I recommend that people keep Pivot Tables away from data so that this is not an issue
Generally you just need to keep your data well to the right or below the pivot table so that you allow for the worst case expansion of the pivot table. You can make the worksheet more manageable by using the Outline Group tools (Select Rows/Columns and Alt Shift Right Arrow) to hide the rows/columns between the edge of the Pivot and your data area
You could possibly use some VBA to insert rows/columns every time the pivot changes, but I've never done that.
