S Shteven Member Apr 9, 2016 #3 65536 is the maximum number of rows supported by .xls files, while 1048576 is the maximum for .xlsx files. You cannot copy a .xlsx sheet into a .xls workbook for this reason. Hui is correct. Saving the .xls file as .xlsx should fix your error.
