Macro to capture IN , OUT and break time

Thank you sir,
This is perfect. Now no issue with date format.
Could you please add a button to clear data and run next data file.
I mean clear data in "data sheet" A to F column and summary sheet data.

Appreciate your help on this task.

I like that Conditional Formatting.

I need a add a comment for missing IN and OUT employees as "IN COMPLETE" to column G

Ex, EMP 10001, missing IN time , can you please add a comment on G column as "IN COMPETE",

Have You really checked/compared [Data] and [Summary]-sheets?
There are ... something ... which do not 'look' good!
You should check/compare/verify at least if You'll use this somewhere!
You'll see some new features ... and You should see some of those 'something'.

#1) 'H'-column messages triggers 'Name's colors
#2) 'LIDs'-column should be empty! = shows IN-OUT-... OUT = (12...2)
if not empty (ex 12112)
then calculations could give wrong result >> 'Name' will be red too
>> #2 overrides always #1 << have to solve! >>

Lasantha - still thinking about this case ... hmm?
More I check ... more 'what is going on!' comes in my mind!
This is the 1st time then I have noticed that
one 'No.' can have two 'Names' and
one 'Name' can have two 'No.'s.
Those ... will make interesting combinations ... as You might notice.
Maybe there is some kind of system, but the 1st time always surprise me.
I also test one new layout:
It would be possible to use 'one month data'
and get the whole months results with or without some 'extras'!
And of course, one day's /name's 'INFO'-box.

I was out of office .
I have checked and removed all duplicate Names ans IDs from the system.
I have to implement final version before this Friday. Can you please help me to finalize this. I have attached you new data file for further information. (no duplicate Name and IDs).
can you please send me above version. it looks more attractive and have more information.
I have checked your last macro which sent me last Thursday with this data file.
  • I have randomly QA some records, those are look OK.
  • I can't understand conditional format on column B,D, E F and G. Can you please explain this to me.

And You just miss one week - So, good luck!
Hmm - conditional formatting? Previous version ...
B,D,E are not any conditional formatting!
B tries to tell if not 'full working day' or if there are some challenges -
compare to H-column.
D,E tries to show when and what kind of timestamps has done -
do someone knows when (what time) those 'Names' really work
... or have breaks
F,G ... oooo ... how to explain? ...
it shows amount of time by comparing to max break or working hours.
- some of those are not used any more with newer version!
As I wrote, the older version has many challenges = not good results!
Of course some are correct, but even one challenge is too much!
The newer version haven't tested, but it seems to be 'better'... but not ready!

  • I have run this for 5/22 and 5/23, when I run this for 5/23 , 5/22 details automatically disappeared. Can you please do something for this.
  • Can you please add a button to clear data and run next data file.

Lasantha - focus - there is something 'new'.
#1) As I wrote in #31:
It would be possible to use 'one month data'
and get the whole months results with or without some 'extras'!

... means that You copy max ONE MONTH data
(= days from 1 to end of month) to data-sheet as there is now,
start from cell [B2]).
There is ONE MONTH calendar with summary column (the most right side)

#2) I added [ Clear Data ]-button to 'Data'-sheet.
#3) Activate any of those cells, if background color change from gray You will see more detailed information from data. 'work' = workingtimes, 'break'= breaktimes and 'miss'=something missing from data.
#4) As I wrote #33:

... and it means that too!

I have only 1 week data. I have run new Macro with it. I have a question. Can you please look into this.
  • Employee Lasantha karunarathne's details missing for 5/26, but there is records for this individual for this date. Please check attached data file.
  • Employee Tharika Seram's details also missing for 5/26, IN time is available for this date , but OUT time is missing. this should mark as IN COMPLETE(MISSING DATA).
  • Employee Dilka Subhashini's data missing for 5/24,
Could you please review this again. I have attached above Macro file.

Hi,, I'm looking to track my team's break IN/OUT time. Also during working time I would like to track the time they've took to complete one report. For example: while starting the report, they need to click start button and end button receptively when they complete it. Can we make this using macro using excel. Please help me creating this sheet.
