Losing Dynamic Chart Titles

Ideas anyone ?

I have various charts which I have set dynamic titles ie. based on a cell content

The cell contents themselves contain formula to create a text narrative to form the chart title. The cell contents / formula vary based on a selection from a list box.

Basically this works well for the majority of the charts on the spread sheet... (lots of charts across different sheets).

However every so often when I re-visit/open the spread sheet, I notice that the titles are not working for some charts and I have to manually re-point the Chart title back to the Cell ie. the chart title forgets it is dynamic and I have to re-point it. Interestingly the title displayed on opening the spreadsheet displays correctly in the first instance - it is only when I select a new option from the List box that I realise the title doesn't change.

Any assistance gratefully received

Hi Jabba1963,

Can i have the sheet that is creating problem for you?? Have you tried copying the sheet that works correctly and using the data of the sheet on it that does not work correctly.

Hi Faseeh - thanks for getting back so quickly...

Just this minute found the problem - and was coming back here to report accordingly and saw your response.

I have different chart templates which I was invoking on sheet activation in the background dependent on a mode I had setup... the chart templates were overwriting each other... so hence why the titles were disappearing... my fault entirely !!

Hope that makes sense... anyway problem resolved or rather cause found :)

Thanks anyway.
