Good day all,
I'm wondering if anyone has experience linking Excel workbooks across DropBox folders. My employer recently switched from a shared drive to DropBox and we've been dealing with all sorts of issues as people customize their folder structures. For example, I might link to a document by typing
='C:UsersnseelenDropboxnseelenFolder oneFolder two [ExampleSpreadsheet.xlsm]Table'!$A$1
But another user might access that same spreadsheet at 'C:UsersotheruserDropboxotheruserFolder one[ExampleSpreadsheet.xlsm]Table'!$A$1
Whenever the other user opens the first book, they are prompted to update values for every cell they change. What's more, if they inadvertently move the folder, the links in my view of the spreadsheet don't update to the new location. Oy.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to properly manage linked Excel workbooks in DropBox? All help is appreciated!
Cheers,
Nat
