Hi

is there a way i can set up a data base of advisors linked to their managers/teams, so that when the envion username macro picks up the username/advisor id, it will automatically pick up which manager they belong to. to elaborate a little more, i have a tracker set up, that logs various stats for advisors that are linked to there individual username for the pc. this works fine, but for the pivot table, i really need a link between the advisor and their manager. I have pretty basic knowledge of excel and vba so im aware this maybe rediculously simple, but i just cant seems to "google" correct question to find examples.

You will need to have a table somewhere of the User Name or Id and the associated advisor/team as a reference or lookup. This may also include the advisors and other senior personnel there supervisors as your application requires.

This doesn't require VBA at all depending on what your trying to do

Do you have a sample file or set of data that you can share and show us what you really require?

Hi Hui,

Thanks for the response. I didnt want to complicate things by attaching the project im working on because there are a range of things that im trying to work out and would have ended up just picking your brain with all of them at once. Ive sorted this one now. It turns out that i had my head on upside down and made this soo much more than it actually was, as it turns out that vlookup was the answer. Ill be posting a new question though about the project i mentioned and would love your advise on that.
