Learn - To Change colour of cell Using Conditional formatting

Dear Readers,

I would like to share my learning!!

Scenario: For check list we often use Check box (For actions completed We will tick those check box) What if you want to change the cell colour to green when check box is enabled

Here is step By step Method to do :

1. Place a check box in a cell (Say B3)

2. Right click on the check box and go to control tab and give the cell link (B3 itself)

3. Fill both the background colour & Font colour of cell B3 to some colour(say both grey)

4. Now go to conditional formatting (with cell selected : Here B3) and when cell value is equal to "True" , format the cell form colour U want ( remember both background and font colour should be same- Say green)

5. Now U can see when check box is enabled with tick mark colour of cell changes to green(here) When disabled grey!!

Note : We are placing both background and Font colour to same colour to hide control of check box display True or false
