Dear all

I need to use a time sheet so that i can able to track the working hours in the office

So if i move out from office in office hours i need to compensate the hours that is the ultimate aim. So i stated making excel sheet ...but it is not working...i'm unable to enter 0.45 minutes directly in to the cell ..similarly..i' unable to enter 15 ....12..minutes alone in a cell

Secondly i'm unable to subtract the time as required...please provide some solution

I have attached the excel sheet which briefs the exact requirement

Option A: Change the way you do inputs.

Instead of typing 0.45 minutes, use proper time values like 0:00:45 to represent 45 seconds

Option B: Change the way XL handles decimal

If you want to input 0.45 minutes and have XL keep proper track of time, then (depending on your desired output format) you need to mutliply/divide. For instance, if proper time format is desired output, and you input 0.45 minutes, you need a formula stating:

=A2/60/24

or

=A2/1440

I'm afraid I can't access uploaded files, so I'm unsure as to your exact requirements.

All your times are entered as text

When entering times enter hh:mm:ss

eg 7:30:00

Format the cells as h:mm AM/PM

Your equation in G5 should then be

=F5-B5-E5-(D5-C5)
