Is it possible to have 2 levels of x-axis labels on a clustered column chart?

Hi,

Is it possible to group X-Axis labels into labeled categories?

I have a clustered column chart where the y-axis is revenues and the x-axis are the different company products. Each product is composed of 6 columns which are the trailing 6 months of revenues. What I would like to do is to have 2 levels of x-axis labels: the 1st would be the month name directly under each column (so, there would be 6 of those for every product); and below that the product name.

One column cluster would look like this:

Jul-2009 Aug-2009 Sep-2009 Oct-2009 Nov-2009 Dec-2009

Product 1

Is that even possible in Excel?

I'm not sure if this is what you mean but

1. The axis labels can be made to Word Wrap

so you can change the Column labels and words will appear on 2 or more rows

or

2. Arrange your chart with a X-Axis Titles as appropriate

Position the Chart so that the text on a cell behind the chart is in the appropriate spot and set the chart background to Transparent, The cell can then be linked to your data as appropriate
