Hi!i need to allow users to enter a number in a cell. How is that done??is there some special feature input feature in excel or should i write codes??

Excel by default allows users to enter numbers in cells


You can protect cells from data entry and leave certain select cells unprotected

Select the cells to Protect

Ctrl 1, Protection

Lock cells


Now goto the Review Tab, Protect Sheet

Adjust settings to suit and apply
