Initials name return a full name in the same cell

Is there a way to put a initials name as ie. A1=JD and A1 return A1=John Doe + today() and green color?

Hi @Elliot , can we use a mapping file with both the names present i.e. short name and full name. Then take a vLookUp and intergrate =today() formula in the vLookUp.

Also, there is a feature in excel which will replace the string as you type but I guess that will be risky.

So how would it be?
 
I figured out why the sheet name changed. Because the variable I used was same as the inbuilt Excel Variable so changed Name to MyName. But unsure why its not colouring your other cells because I downloaded the file & tested it again and seems to be colouring for me
