Index Match compute tax amount

Hi Gurus,
Can i get some help in calculating tax amount. I have a tax rate table which has different tax categories and tax rates. Tax amount is Gross wages times Rate. I have highlighted the expected result in green color.

Really appreciate all your help.

How about a full explanation. Provide the table of rates so we can provide a solution. We are not mind readers here, but Excel helpers.

Tax table is in columns PQR. Sorry the table was a bit far away from the data. Let me know if you can see it. Thanks for your response

I've done my best with the sample file you provided.

Something like this: =$F2*INDEX(taxtable[Rate],MATCH(G$1,taxtable[Tax],0))

Looks like Column I does not have a rate in your tax table, so it's throwing an error.

Really appreciate your help in solving my problem. Yes I didnt give a rate for the 401k. Thanks for your help.
