I want to extract (from columns A:F) and make new cells (columns H:M); that contain only the certain data extracted original data (columns A:F) are those rows that contain data in bold black color.

I attach the manually sample (columns H:M).

Thank you for your help.

Hi ,

I think your question is not clear ; what is the basis for extracting the three rows of data ?

Will you specify the dates or the ball numbers or ... ?

Just giving an example means it can be interpreted in many different ways ; you need to specify what the interpretation should be based on.

Secondly , what is the purpose of specifying that you want a formula on the lines of =INDIRECT(ADDRESS ?

Hi Narayan:

I need formula extract certain rows and columns and make new cells .

I attach the manually example (columns H:M).

in Mar 9, 2015 I posted in forum: Ask an Excel Question a similar question and I liked the recommendation made by Deepack =INDIRECT(ADDRESS((ROW()-1)*6,COLUMN(A2))), but I could not use this formula with another input data.

I prefer this formula over VBA formula.

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

I think you are looking for formula to find rows that are bold (dynamically), and return those rows.

AFAIK, there is no formula to find if the cell is bold or not. And, unless you figure out this, you cannot return those rows. Now, you have the solution in hand, by letting us know, on what basis you will bold certain rows?

Prasad DN
