Yes its a type of assignment only just wanted to know how i can extract M1, M2 values. I have tried various countifs and nested it with other formulas but was unable to derive the objectives. So if any suggestions for finding out as it is becoming complex for excel to derive the results. Not asking for complete finalisation of the assignment, anyway thank you for the going through my thread.

then, try to include a logical function in your formula. What's a new customer? Maybe, it's when he did his first order?
