Huge excel file

Hi, I have created a dashboard for my company, data is very huge and file size has reached 58 mb
I also saved it as binary and size reduce to 30 mb, however it takes forever to open the file.
Opening time is about 1 min, is there any way I can increase the performance
 
Remove any unwanted pictures or images
Any Tables that have formulas that are calculated once when the data is added, consider copying/paste as values instead of using formulas
Can the data be saved outside Excel and be retrieved on the fly using an SQL or Power Pivot etc

Ensure you have a PC with lots of Memory and try using the latest version of Excel 2016 as it has much better memory usage

Have you considered adding a Thumb Drive to your PC and using Ready Boost
Add a large capacity (32 or 64 GB) Thumb Drive to your pc using a USB 3 or 3.1 port
Right click on the drive and select Properties, then goto Ready Boost

I found a good solution, let me know if I am doing it right.

I went to the data and moved the pivots table to a new excel workbook.
Now to get the data I need, I am able to refresh the pivot table without opening the main file( data file is closed).
However refreshing the data also is taking a long time.
Please suggest.
 
Have you looked at using Power Pivot?

It eats large data for lunch
