How to prorate hours in a week according to time code

Hello Everyone,

At work, I have a list of time codes I have to charge my time to. Thanks to Chandoo.org, I have been able to build myself a nifty dashboard using pivot tables and graphs which helps me greatly when completing my time sheet.

I do have one problem left which I have no idea how to approach, I am hoping someone here will have a solution for me:

When completing my timesheet, I have to prorate my indirect time (meetings, sick time, etc.) to the total of my direct time (coding, troubleshooting, etc.). For example:

Direct time code A = 5 hours
Direct time code B = 2.5 hours
Direct time code C = 10 hours

If I have 4 hours of indirect time, the final result would be:
Direct time code A = 5 hours + 1 hours
Direct time code A = 2.5 hours + .5 hours
Direct time code A = 5 hours + 2.5 hours

Is there a simple way to do this from within the pivot table?

Thanks for any help.

I would add a new field and do the pro-rata'ing prior to the Pivot Table,
Then bring it in to the PT as a normal field

Thanks @Hui for your reply. I'm not sure I understand how to go about doing what you're suggesting. Could you help me a little more?
