How to make a template appear in a new section within backstage view --> new ?

Hi Guys

I created a template without any fancy stuff, no development, no nothing.

I want to make this template available for some more users and deploy it to them.

How can I make the template appear in a new category (home --> Internal).

I do not want that template appear in "My templates" category.

Any idea?

Thanks for any hint on this.

I don't know what you mean by, home --> Internal

But What about setting up a network drive or directory where you put all company shared

documents/templates

I like doing this and then adding a shortcut to your local templates directory and so that way they are only ever a few clicks away

Hello Hui

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately I need local copies (offline usage) and using the standard template folder is no option.

The "internal" was a sample. It could be "dashboards" too.

So what I need to achieve is having an "icon" as with the other items provided when going to backstage --> new.

That folder is labled "dashboard" (for exmaple) and clicking it will open the Dahsboard.xltx temmplate.

I looked around for quite some time but did not find information rather than packacking in with VSTO.

Any other ideas on how to get this done?
