i want to search names in excel ...but find command is not giving the desired result...its showing as the sheet is not containing the desired name..which is not so...any other fast option...please suggest..

Have you tried changing options that the Find tool offers?

To start with try changing following options
>Match case
>Match Entire cell contents
>Search in values or formulas).

FOR EXAMPLE IN TALLY THE VENDOR NAME PRESENT IS VIJAYNATH...BUT IN EXCEL FILE THE NAME IS AS VIJAY NATH..IN SUCH CASE EXCEL IS NOT SHOWING THE NAME..SO ANY OTHER TRICK

Check your caps key, no need to shout.

Use wildcards in your find,

USE... TO FIND....
? (question mark) Any single character.
For example, "Bl?ck" finds either "Black" or "Block"

* (asterisk) Any number of characters.
For example "North*" finds "North", "Northeast",
and "Northwest". And "(*)" finds any content enclosed by parentheses.

~ (tilde) followed by ?, *, or ~ A literal question mark, asterisk, or tilde. For example...

...To find "West*" use "West~*"
...To find "West?" use "West~?"
...To find "West~" use "West~"
...To find "West~?" use "West~~?"

.

OK..SUPPOSE IWANT TO FIND ALL NAME HAVING PRA..LIKE PRANAV,PRANJALI...PRANITA ETC...HOW CAN I HIGHLIGHT ALL OF DEM AT ONCE ..AS FIND JUST SEARCHES ONE NAME..

You need to use AutoFilter for such cases as the names will be in single column. Filter (option: contains) should work for you.

Stop writing your post in all Capital letters. It amounts to shouting as indicated by Bob earlier.

Find & Replace should find all instance...

Use Find All. By adjusting setting you can find all instances within workbook.
