how to change the size and style of autofilter button

hello


i've seen excel sheets where there is a filter button 'built in' to the header row as a little icon rather that the standard big down button.


how do you do that?


i'm using excel for mac 2011 and excel 2010
 
As you scroll down in Excel 2007 + (it may be 2010+) the Autofilter Headers get absorbed into the Column Headers

I'm not sure about the Mac versions
