How to break links of file which do not exist

I have an excel file which contains some links wich do not exist. I tried to break these links but fail. Can any one help in fixing the problem.

Is it a few cells or many ?

have you checked the charts, named ranges and other objects (shapes, hyperlinks, VBA etc)

Can you manually correct them or delete them

Can you put an =Iferror( in front of the links to resolve them if they return #REF! errors
