How to avoid making multiple tables to achieve this summary view?

Data looks like this:

I need to prepare summaries like this:

What I currently do: First prepare a pivot table at a Customer level and then add a helper column flagging customers as either Growning or Degrowning. I also make a separate table for Families as well (so that they can be flagged as either Growing or Degrowing) and then take a pivot to get the summary I need but is there a way to achieve the summary without creating the tables at Customer and Family level first?

I don't mind doing this without pivot tables if it's better.

As You know from both sites as written in this site:
  • Cross-Posting. Generally, it is considered poor practice to cross post. That is to post the same question on several forums in the hope of getting a response quicker.
  • If you do cross-post, please put that in your post.
  • Also if you have cross-posted and get an Solution elsewhere, have the courtesy of posting the Solution here so other readers can learn from the answer also, as well as stopping people wasting their time on your answered question.
