I have a table of utility type and their cost.

A sample is as follows

Utility Date Cost

gas Jan. 2013 100US$

gas Feb. 2013 95$

electricity Jan 2013 200US$

electricty Feb 2013 195 $

Telephone Jan 2013 500$

Telephone Feb 2013 300$

gas March 2013 200$

and goes on

I want to draw graph for each utility separetly at the same time.

How can I do that?

I know I can filter 'gas' and then draw its graph. But it will change if I change filter to show only

electricity or telephone.

You can do this using named Formulas for each Utility

Then Chart the Named Formulas

You may need to have blank entries for months where you don't have data to keep the data in order

Dear Hui

Thanks for your reply.

I have heard named column or named cell but I haven't heard about named formulas.

I will check it in the google.

You will need to use a technique which is described here: http://chandoo.org/wp/2012/12/04/formula-forensics-no-032-creating-dynamic-charts-with-non-contiguous-data/
