How do you allocate a task budget accross a dynamic number of periods for that

My goal is to get the awesome Chandoo project charts to timephase costs or allocate costs accross the "duration" of the task.


E.G Task A starts on column 6 (or a date 3/15) , has a duration of 6 and a cost of $100K, I'd like to fill the the column cells 6...12 for the task row with $100/6 or $16.7.

Task B starts on the next row, on column 10 (or a date again) has a duration of 4 and a cost of $200K, I'd like to fill the column cells 10...14 for Task B's row, with 200/4 or $25K.


Simlar to the way conditional formatting creates a gantt bar, I'd like to allocate or distribute the task funds accross the duration of the task.

You want a gantt chart (based on days) that shows activity cost under each head?? Is it just that? Will you allow one extra row added underneath an activity in the gantt if needed?
