Hide data from Formula bar

How can i hide the data or formula from formula bar

bt this is not helpful.. coz there is not format menu in excel

There is and always has been a format menu in Excel, what version are you using in 2010 it is in the home tab/ cells

Hi Maheshkasera


First you need to select the cells that you want to hide their value or formula in the formula bar, then press Ctrl+1 (or right click and select "format cells..." . On the "Protection" tab check the "Hidden" box.

After that protect your sheet (Review-> Changes-> Protect sheet) and the formulas will disappear.

You could always hide the formula bar in the options.
