Hidden data

In Excel 2007/2010

Select the chart

Select a series

Right click Select Data

Select the Hidden and Empty Cells Button

Tick Show Hidden Data in Rows/Columns

You can setup Excel charts to show hidden data. Just follow the below steps:

1. Right click on chart, go to select data

2. Click on the button "hidden and empty cells"

3. Check the box that says "show hidden data..."

4. click ok and close the boxes

Now, just hide the rows/ columns with the formulas and your chart should still show the hidden data.

Brilliant

Just a question of knowing the tick boxes exist, and where.

Thank you Hui and Chandoo.

I am working on my negative values in a pie chart next.
