Hi, first let me apologize for not introducing myself till date.

I joined this forum on 12 December 2011.


Myself Sachin from India, I stay in Pune City.

I would like to tell something about my city.

Ours is a historical city.

This was epicenter for all the happenings for freedom struggle in India.

After independence it was called city of pensioners, City of cycles, Cambridge of east.

Now we are just city of motorcycles,

once a peaceful city dying slow death due to crumbling infrastructure.


Something about me,

I work for one of the biggest “Small-Cap” firm.

My work involves processing multi dimensional financial data.

My interest in excel grew because of the work,

we do about 99% of our work in excel.

Now this has become my passion.


One of my colleagues introduced me to this forum & from then I am die hard fan of yours.

Trust me yours is the best forum about excel.

I would like to thank Chandoo for this phenomenal forum.

I have received lot of help & support on this forum,

every time I post any problem I get the reply instantaneously.

Please do keep up the good work, all the best, & thanks a lot for helping a novice like me.

How many patrons we have?

How many are from Pune?

I know I might sound a bit anal enforcing this but I would hate to see the Chandoo.org Forums filled with inappropriate material. It takes away from the browsing experience that users have and makes searching for relevant material more difficult

Please use the appropriate Forum.

Nice to know more about you, Sachin. Glad to have you hear.

Not sure I can answer you exact questions, but I can tell you:

The forums have 11,916 regular members, 4 Excel Ninjas, 1 Key Master (Chandoo himself)

There's an additional 72 people who have registered, but have not posted anything on the forums.


Not every member lists their location, so your 2nd question is harder to answer, but in the last XL survey Chandoo did, there were 565 out of 1884 people who said they were from India, so using that as a sort of "standard", there's a pretty good chance that someone else who uses these forums is from Pune.

ps: There are 5 people registered at Chandoo.org with "Pune" in there Name or Email address, of course none maybe from Pune except you ?
