Hi Chandoo.. I am your new user

Hi Chandoo,

I have a question regarding the excel formulas.

we use networkdays() for aging calculation, i want some different formula to know the aging.

Ramesh

Try =DATEDIF() Function

Syntax :

=DATEDIF(start_date,end_date,"d")- will give result in days

=DATEDIF(start_date,end_date,"m")- will give result in months

=DATEDIF(start_date,end_date,"y")- will give result in years

Thanks,

Anand

Hi, rameshkumarsharma!

May I suggest you to change your nick name? It's too long and it overlaps the comment area making it unreadable (cClick on your name, Edit).

@anand_babu

Hi!

Regarding your suggestion of using a surreptitiously buried half-alive (not dead at all as it still is available, even working erratically) function as DATEDIF, I'd like to share this link where its behavior has been fully analized:

http://chandoo.org/forums/topic/excel-2007#post-16879

I provided there a simple and effective and flawlessly way to replace it. Check too the entire topic.

Regards!

@rameshkumarsharma

Hi!

I strongly suggest you to avoid the use of DATEDIF function as explained in the previous link. Just advise if any issue.

Regards!

Also refer to http://chandoo.org/wp/2009/09/22/elapsed-time-excel/ for several examples on this.

PS: Please title your questions accurately. "Chandoo I am your new user... " sounds much like what my daughter says for everything... "Daddy, I want..."
