Thanks Narayan. This is one of the reasons that Chandoo is a great forum. I was looking for a more in-depth explanation of how to do layering with shapes for use in fancying up a dashboard when I did a search on this forum and found your two postings about the article you mentioned. There was a sample workbook to download and I was able to dissect the examples to better see how the examples were constructed.

This is Narayan here too,

I want to develop a dynamic dashboard ie in a spread sheet i will have 5 to work sheets and i have to create 3 to 4 charts for each sheet grouping site and country

i have the specs and basic dashboard ready
is there any way u can help
