Getting not only the value from a cel but also the color [and use it]

Hi all,

I have this challenge:

I have a vlookup on a certain area (maybe a different sheet also) retrieving the value found.
Some cells on that list have (sometimes) a colour, people want to clarify it's green, red or other colour.
Beside the value I'm getting though my vlookup I also want to pass the colour from the found cell to the target cell (where the vlookup formula is in).

Is there any way to do this?

Not unless you use VBA, or, if the original cell is using a conditional format, use that same conditional format in the cell where you're using the VLOOKUP function.

There is no conditional format there, could be any colour.... :-(

Well, in that case, it's the VBA route, though I'd be more than happy to stand corrected.
