Freeze panes and printing

Hi,

Sometimes I might freeze panes where I can read the top three rows (type of assessment etc) and the first three columns (names, student id numbers). I then scroll right across to get the final results. I then make a selection to print which crosses the freeze panes and of course it reveals all of the columns which I don't need. I then usually hide the columns I don't need and then print the required selection.

Is there any way to do print a selection which crosses freeze panes without having to hide the columns every time I do it.

Cheers

If you set the Rows to repeat at Top and Columns to Repeat at Left on the Page Setup, Print Titles options, when you select an area the Row and Column Titles will eb printed next to the selected area.

Hui,

That looks exactly like what I'm looking for.....

I tried it and it worked. Had a bit of trouble as if you go to Print selection and page setup it is greyed out.

If you go in from Page Layout tab the small arrow on the bottom right hand corner lets you into the same thing and it opens the area you need.( I googled that bit).

Hui - thank you - over the years I have asked a lot of people that question and no-one knew. You guys on this forum are very helpful and it is appreciated.

Cheers
